This is the keel and bulb STL files which come with the full RG65 Racing Sparrow RC yacht. You could use these files in a traditional balsa build boat as a simple and accurate way to create a quality keel and bulb.
The keel is a NACA 12.3 aerofoil shape accurately recreated as an STL file. The keel has a slot for 4mm x 18mm to be filled with carbon square rods 4x4mm stacked x 4 with a small amount room for resin to fill the voids or use some other configuration of carbon to your liking.
The thickness of the keel fin is 6.9mm.
Included in this set are 3 bulb weight options (Lead Shot + Epoxy): 475g 508g 550g
The keel is two parts 164mm and 146mm in length. You can use these to create a total keel length ot either, 292mm, 310mm or 328mm.
The keel planks have holes for 3mm carbon joiners to add stiffness to the complete keel arrangement.
This set also comes with a handy printable funnel to aid in filling the bulb with lead shot and resin.
